What is VX30 Live?

.: The Real Time Encoding Application
.: Sending a Direct Feed
The Encoding Station -  can be either a workstation, a laptop or similar device that supports Windows 2000 or XP. The VX30 Live application can accept input from either a video capture card or a USB/Firewire Device. The application will convert the digital stream in real time and send it out encoded in VX30 format onto a TCP port as a HTTP stream.
The Router - is required if you are going to be sending the video stream onto the Internet. To prepare your video stream you will first need to discover your outside IP address. This IP address is where clients will connect to view the video stream. The final step in preparing your stream is that you will need to map the outgoing TCP port from your router to the encoding station. Please refer to your routing equipment manufacturer's directions on how to set up port forwarding.
Client Devices - can be any system that supports JRE 1.1 or higher.
